Christ Church Comforts
The Blessing of the Animals
Sat., Oct. 19,
3-6pm,
on the lawn
Join us as the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi meets Spooky Season!
Bring your pet to be blessed anytime on Saturday, October 19, from 3–6pm, and enjoy cider and donuts out on the lawn!
Costumes for humans of all ages, and/or their pets, are encouraged but not required, and there will be delicious treats for pets as well as their human companions.
Come at 3:15 to join us for some simple prayers for the Feast of St. Francis.
Arrive by 3:30 for the costume contest!
Community Paint & Sip
Thursday, November 14, 6:30pm, at Christ Church
This simple, but fun project will be guided by artist Eileen Honey, who has always loved the creative process, and loves to encourage others to give it a try!
Let’s do this again! Bring a friend (or five!) and join us as we play with paints, colors, and shapes to create colorful mixed media artwork that will be ready for you to take home that day. This event is suitable for beginners as well as accomplished artists, and everyone in between.
Adults only, please. BYOB. Materials, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and glassware will be provided. Donations are welcome, and proceeds will go to Dorothy Day Hospitality House. To RSVP, email [email protected] by November 4. Event limited to 30 guests.
