Next Sunday, August 22 – A Blessing of Backpacks.
It's time to go shopping for school! Let's reach out to the community this summer. Covenant to Care (DCF) in Danbury needs children's backpacks to be filled for elementary school kids. Redding Social Services needs lots of miscellaneous school supplies. Why not pick up some extra supplies and/or a backpack for a child when you're out shopping? We turn in the backpacks and supplies by August 22 to both DCF and RSS, and we bless our own kids' backpacks that Sunday. Kids and parents, bring in your packs or stuff for school and we'll pray over them and you, asking God's blessing for the year ahead.

Please don’t sit down! No, instead, please everyone stand toward the middle of the central aisle. I’ll ask you to move to either end of the church to answer each of the following questions with your feet. Now, good Anglicans like ourselves don’t always fit into black and white categories, so if you can’t commit to one side or the other, stand somewhere in the middle. Ready?
