Christ Church Parish is a vibrant and growing faith community with dynamic programs for children, youth and adult spirituality.
Our Schedule of Christmastide Services
Christmas Eve, December 24, Family Service, 4:45 pm. We enjoy a brief instrumental Prelude and sing carols; then we celebrate Holy Eucharist at 5. Our Pick-Up Choir rehearses at 3:45 pm that day only. All are welcome to join the choir just for this service.
A Candlelight Christmas, December 24, 9 pm. We begin at 9:00 pm with a wonderful selection of anthems and carols sung by our choir and instrumental music played by Martha Meyer, our Music Minister. We follow with the Holy Eucharist, with readings for Christmas.
Christmas Day, December 25, 10:00 am. Come and worship the newborn Christ in a simple, contemplative Holy Eucharist with lovely music.
Sunday, December 28 at 10:00 am. Christmas Lessons and Carols and the Holy Communion. We will not celebrate at 8:00 am that morning.
Sunday, January 4 at 8 and 10 am. We celebrate the Epiphany of Christ to the world and the visit of the Magi to the Holy Family.
Sunday Worship Services
Sundays, 8:00 am and 10:00 am on Sunday morning.
Our 8:00 Holy Eucharist is traditional, meditative and spoken. The 10:00 service of Eucharist features our new pipe organ, choir, and church school for children. Please know that kids of all ages are always welcome in church - we have coloring books, puppets and quiet toys in the parlor area of the parish hall for their entertainment. Casual attire is welcome.
Sunday evenings, Compline at 7 pm
This is a lovely, contemplative, candlelit service that ends our week and begins the new week. It lasts no more than a half hour, but opens up a lot of space for meditation and prayer.
Wednesday: Holy Eucharist at 7 pm.
This is a contemporary service and includes healing prayer for those who wish to receive it.
We come together for all kinds of things--worship, learning, fun, even toting pipe organ parts.
Parishioners Tim McClung and Sandy Watts carry pipes and parts as we built our new pipe organ (2011).
Come and explore the interior life with us -- and then, well fortified -- go into the world with God's good news.
We're glad you visited - please come back often. More details about our Schedule of Services can be found on the Worship Services page.
Food Pantry Sundays - Helping the Redding Food Pantry
Our children collect donations for the Redding Social Services Food Pantry once a year. They then load all donations into the Star Ship Enterprising, the Honda van which belongs to our our Director of Children's Ministries, via the Annual Bag Brigade. You can help by bringing in donations for the food pantry -- they always need pasta, cereal and paper products. Thank you!
