High School Group & Confirmation Class
High School Group meets monthly to engage in projects to help the needy, take pilgrimage trips to sacred sites, or just to enjoy time together. Last year's activities included Christmas shopping for needy families and taking a trip to a Buddhist monastery in New York. The 2010-2011 school year plans include a visit to The Ronald McDonald House in New Haven to cook for the residents, followed by a trip to Pepe's for some Wooster Street pizza; a game night in the home of one of our members; an overnight pilgrimage to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City for a funky evening program in the darkened cathedral; and a trip to the Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn. For more information, call Marilyn Anderson at 203-938-2872.

Our Confirmation Program is available for interested high school teens. We meet monthly and learn about what it means to live a Christian life. We discuss the Bible and our faith, and ponder how to integrate this knowledge so we can make good and sound choices. We talk about the life of the church and discuss the Sacraments and how they are conduits for God's grace. During the school year our class does one large service project to benefit the community at large and another service project to benefit the parish. Teens become involved in the life of the church by taking active roles in Sunday services. The Confirmation Service is usually held on a Saturday in June. For more info please call Marilyn Anderson, the rector, at 203-938-2872.
